Stepping Out to Do Good Work
We strongly believe that the work we do in the world reflects God’s love and grace. Service is at the core of our church, and everyone gets involved. The retreats we offer give high school students the opportunity to learn about themselves and their faith, and to refocus and rejuvenate.
Each summer, Westminster will enrich the lives of our young people through mission trips and conferences. These trips have a long tradition of deepening their faith and planting seeds for future service as the hands and feet of Christ. All trip participants are expected to be an integral part of our Evening for Missions on Saturday, May 5, 2018. This evening provides financial support to these trips, covering 50% of the cost, as well as involving our youth in a intergenerational activity that is a favorite event among our congregation.
We are alternating summer experiences for our youth between mission opportunities and conference experiences. This summer of 2018, the High School Students will attend the Montreat Youth Conference, "Lift Every Voice," July 8-14, 2018. Last summer, our high school students served with Center for Student Missions in New York City.

High school students (age 14 and up) may travel with a parent or guardian to participate in intergenerational mission trips. Learn more.
Our high school seniors, thanks to our youth endowment, will serve on the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation in Montana through YouthWorks. While in Montana, they will be immersed in the unique culture and heritage of the Cheyenne people, as well as the day-to-day realities of life on the reservation, dealing with unemployment, poverty, and inadequate housing. They depart Saturday, June 23 and return on Friday, June 29.
