Give
Stewardship is always a response of thanks. We give of our lives, our time, our talents, and our resources to a God who has given everything to us.
“Dear Lord, Give me one more thing: a thankful heart.” (George Herbert)
Westminster is funded by pledges and contribution. This money collected not only pays for the heat and air conditioning during the services, but the crayons used in the children's area, and books in the youth ministry.

October: A Month of Personal Commitment, Renewal
October will be an important time in the life of Westminster as we envision and commit to our future ministry. What is happening?
- The weekend of October 2-3 begins our Stewardship focus, “Living on Holy Ground: Grateful, Glad, and Generous.”
The weekend of October 9-10 we experience and live out our stewardship of time, “Serving on Holy Ground.” This begins with an International Breakfast at 8 a.m. Saturday, October 9, with foods representative of areas where we travel on mission trips.
Then we spread out into the community participating in service. What was previously One Great Day of Service is a part of our stewardship emphasis this year. From 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., we will be involved in a variety of service projects throughout Greensboro. You will receive information soon about the opportunities available. The weekend continues with Mission Emphasis as congregants share in worship services their experiences of local, national, and international mission service.
- The weekend of October 16-17 we continue to explore how we are called to live on holy ground and be challenged to make our commitment of time, gifts, and resources as a grateful, glad, and generous congregation. You will receive time and talent forms and a pledge card in the mail and be asked to prayerfully consider your response to God’s grace.
- October 23-24 is Dedication Weekend, where we have the opportunity to present our commitments as a family of faith.
Please be in prayer as we prepare for this season and live on holy ground, being grateful, glad, and generous people of faith.
In addition to monetary gifts, you can share your time and talents by seeing the numerous volunteer opportunities ,which you can sign up for by completing the on-line Time and Talent form to indicate the ways you want to get connected to the life of the church.
