Outreach
"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for use to do." - Ephesians 2:10.
There are an array of opportunities for all of us to heed that message and serve our living God. We request that you prayerfully consider how you can contribute to Westminster's growing Outreach endeavors on a local, national and international level.
Youth Trip to Kenya leaves in July
Westminster's first youth team to Kenya will leave July 13 and return July 27. Eight high school youth and five adult leaders will be traveling to Kenya. A few of the highlights of the trip include: a visit to the St. Philip's School in the Mathare slum to catch up on the children's progress, a service project with youth from St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, painting the roof of the boy's dormitory at Naro Secondary School, and time playing with the children and visiting some of the the New Life Home Orphanages.
How can you help out those in Kenya?
As part of the trip, the team will be taking items to the Nyeri New Life Home and some of the schools that we will visit. Bring your donations to Westminster campuses by July 4 and place it in the boxes marked "Kenya"." Items needed are:
- sturdy developmental toys for ages 3 months - 2 years
- waterproof plastic training pants,
- pencils
- crayons
- toothbrushes
- balls that can be inflated upon arrival in Kenya
