Latest Update
After extensive listening sessions, surveys, and careful discernment, the Transition Team presented the 2025 Mission Study Report (MSR) to our Session. Following the Session's approval, the Mission Study was forwarded to Salem Presbytery. On Thursday, February 27, Salem Presbytery officially approved the 2025 MSR.
Looking ahead, the search process has now been handed over to our Nominating Committee. The Committee has been diligently and prayerfully working on a proposed slate of nominees for the Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC). Once finalized, the 2025 PNC nominees will be presented for election by the Congregation. A Congregational Meeting is scheduled for March 9, following both the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. services.
The Nominating Committee, chaired by Leslie Hennigan and co-chair Mike Phillips, includes Frannie Motley, Ann Comfort, Robert Bell, and Byron Hill.
It all started when...
On February 10, 2024 Ernie announced that after much prayer and conversation with his wife Elaine, that he has decided to take early retirement. They plan to move to Raleigh to be closer to family and more involved in their grandchildren’s lives. We are so grateful for Ernie’s 8+ years of leadership as Senior Pastor & Head of Staff.
The Transition Team was formed and approved by Session on February 25, 2024.
