Westminster’s affordable housing initiatives

Responding to the needs of our community is Biblical.

“But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.” Jeremiah 29:7

The vision is to increase access to permanent housing for children and their families by supporting families through meaningful relationships, providing financial support, and locating and increasing housing availability. This initiative will include:

·  Partnering with Habitat of Greensboro on the Olde Asheboro Neighborhood Development and Housing Project through workdays and community building events.

·  Partnering with Community Housing Solutions to preserve home ownership by improving lives through repair and accessibility with dignity.

· Supporting individual families in finding and getting into safe, affordable housing.

· Working with churches to explore using property to build affordable housing.

· Working with new interfaith Affordable Housing group.
